Event History

GoGreco started with an Idea that had at it's core a desire to grow the the United States stable of Greco athletes through expanding college opportunity from just the Traditional Collegiate Style of wrestling to the Greco-Roman Style. Offering athletes  off season competition that not only kept them in shape, developed their upper body technique and kept them engaged in sport, but also gave dedicated individuals an opportunity to All-American in more than one style of wrestling while still pursuing a solid college education. The First College Greco-Roman National Championship was contested in June of 2017, but was proceeded in 2015 & 2016 by  pilot programs sponsored through a joint venture between Texas USA Wrestling, the NCWA and the University of North Texas Coach, Andre Metzger.
